Redondo Beach, CA

We all have had opportunities—purpose moments—that could lead us to heed the call in our lives. The question we must ask ourselves is:
Was I present when the opportunity presented itself?

–Richard Leider, The Power of Purpose
Inside of us is a deep hunger to know that our lives have meaning and that our reason for being here has a purpose. Purpose is the inward intent that drives our outward action. When we have a clear sense of purpose and are operating in alignment with it, we tap into a powerful source of our own energy and potential. Once we discover our own individual purpose, we may also hear the calling to serve a greater purpose in our own community through volunteerism and civic engagement.

8:30-9:30am: Volunteerism & Civic Engagement Fair

Learn about how to get involved in your community:

  • Visit with groups such as service and civic participation clubs
  • Learn about volunteer opportunities in the beach cities that can utilize your gifts and talents
  • Connect with others that share the same interests and passions

9:30am-Noon: Power of Purpose Workshop

This two-hour workshop provides you with:

  • A way to discover a clear definition of your gifts that aligns with your purpose in life
  • The connection between living that purpose not only at home but through work, service, relationships or volunteering
  • A plan to help you live daily with a sense of purpose

For those that want to continue the conversation after the workshop, there is an opportunity after the workshop to join a Purpose Moai—a small group of people that will meet once a week for ten weeks to continue exploring their purpose. More information will be provided at the workshop.
